Important Youth Dates
No matter the age of a person, Christian fellowship is vital to everyone’s spiritual growth. Our Christian brothers and sisters give us strength in difficult times, provide accountability in our commitment to Christ, and sustain our faith with depth and growth. This summer the FLC is providing some outstanding fellowship opportunities for youth. We will be having LYO events once a month in addition to fun fundraisers for the 2018 LYO trip to Texas. We will start our first serious discussion about this in our parent & youth meeting on June 4th. We ask all parents and youth to be present for the June 4th meeting. The other June youth events are as follows:
June 4th – Parent & Youth meeting at the FLC, 11:00am, to discuss the Texas trip and upcoming LYO events. This will be a pot-luck lunch meeting.
Pastor Alyssa has also set up fun fellowship opportunities for our Children’s Program
Finally, VBS will be July 16-20, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. It will be led by the UMM Team. There will be a program for the parents on the last day. There will also be a Pre-K VBS that goes from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. The signup sheet for this summer’s VBS will be in the FLC office. Parents must sign their kids (and their kid’s friends) up by July 2nd. There will also be a health form for parents to fill out when they sign their kids up. Wolf Pup has informed us that if there are 10 or more kids at their facilities who want to be a part of the Lutheran Parish VBS, they will gladly walk those kids to the Church at the start time to save parents the hassle of transportation. So please don’t let transportation stop you from getting your kids to VBS and again, may this encourage you to sign your kids up early so we can get that number up to 10+.
Sincerely Pastor Alyssa Quade
